Frequently Asked Questions
Is the X video downloader free?
Yes. Every download is free. The highest HD quality unlocks after a short ad, which is how we keep the site running.
Can I download videos from private or protected accounts?
No. We can only see public posts, the same as anyone who is not logged in. Private and protected posts stay private.
Where do downloaded videos go on iPhone?
In Safari, tap the download arrow at the top, open the file, then tap Share → Save Video to put it in your Photos app.
Does it work with x.com and twitter.com links?
Yes, both work, including mobile.twitter.com links and links copied from the X app.
Why is there no sound in a GIF?
GIFs on X never have sound. Regular videos keep their original audio.
Can I download X Spaces or live streams?
Not yet. We support regular video posts and GIFs.
